x64 and will be using 4x 2TB drives in an external eSATA hotswap
enclosure using RAIDZ. I have played around with FreeBSD in

has anyone got samba to compile and joined to a domain successfuly for freebsd 5.2 or
5.1
i can get it to compile but when i go to join it to an active directory it chokes it
keeps prompting me for a root password like samba isn't acceptin the kerberos
authentication i just did

You can do that within the smb.conf
Use SWAT, advanced options, I think just for the share...

How would I go about just dropping those msgs completely?
Qmail is the mail server, but I was hoping someone would have an idea.

I think I figured it out. The qmail-smtpd.c patch for SMTP AUTH had an
exploit. It did require authentications, but it didn't care what
credentials you threw at it, so long as you sent something.
On that note, does anyone know of a way to get SMTP AUTH working with
qmail without being an acciden

I am having difficulty with one system - FreeBSD 4.8
After a couple of days, the system continually reports that there are too
many files open. At that time I cannot ssh into the system or ftp, etc.
obviously, the kern.maxfiles is too low.

error when i try and run make
