Hi,
perhaps you have a problem with you host.
Try to edit /etc/rc.conf
find hostname
if they is not one, set one
exemple:
hostname="vincent"
well, edit /etc/hosts
put this:
::1 vincent
127.0.0.1 vincent
well, now reload all, perhaps it would go on
see ya

delete /var/db/pkg/pkgdb.db
do a cvsup of your port tree ...
do a "make fetchindex" under /usr/ports
now, check portversion -l'<'
it should reconstruct everything

Hi, well
I have 2 problems
the first:
I have external hdd and I want that the system create a symlinks when I turn on
my hdd
usbdev -v
give me:
Controller /dev/usb4:
addr 1: high speed, self powered, config 1, EHCI root hub(0x),
VIA(0x),rev 1.00
port 1 powered
port 2 powered
port 3 ad
Ok
I have a problem
When I connect my external hard drive I have the traditional info under dmesg
umass0: Genesys Logic USB TO IDE, rev 2.00/0.02, addr 2
da0 at umass-sim0 bus 0 target 0 lun 0
da0: Fixed Direct Access SCSI-0 device
da0: 1.000MB/s transfers
da0: 156334MB (320173056 512 byte sector
atch it
The only way I have found to get this information is to extract it from dmesg
But it's not really a fine way
Well, have an idea ?
