I would recommend creating a Fat 32 partion for transferring files between
FreeBSD and XP. This will work as long as you have not used all (four per
drive) of your primary partions.

filenames. Created a common shared folder using samba and AppleTalk using
netatalk. I did not spend much time configure the share. I was pushed for

One option I have seen for creating your own restore is to create a script
that will move files you want to delete to a temporary directory, a "Trash

I am syncing my T5 with kpilot through the usb cable. It is a bit tricky but
it does work. To get the sync to work enter the kpilot in to a shell, press
the hotsync button then execute the kpilot. It takes a few tries to get the
timing down it has been working for me.

A simple solution, just to get things working, is to us one hard drive at a
time. Set up both drives a the master IDE device and swap between operating
systems by swapping the cable between the two drives. If you want to run
FreeBSD plug in the 40GB drive and unplug the 80GB. The reverse

I was able to get older linux binaries to work by install the following
rpms from the Red Hat 6.1 distribution:
ld.so-1.9.5-13.i386.rpm
libc-5.3.12-31.i386.rpm
I did this by:
# /usr/compat/linux/bin/bash
# rpm -ivh ld.so-1.9.5-13.i386.rpm
# rpm -ivh libc-5.3.12-31.i386.rpm
