I am trying to install the cvsup for 4.8, but when I do the pkg_add -r name
of the file; it does not get the file in the main website. What is the
variable to seek the file in other sites and download it when it is found. I
read the manual pages of Pkg_add (1) but I can't find the variable that doe

out from the tv card to the line in on the soundcard with linux by

Yeah I ran into that yesterday myself. The mysql_install_db doesnt leave
you with a working mysql database lately. What did to fix it was mysqld
-u mysql --skip-grant &
(Im assuming you have your mysql firewalled off, if not do that first ;)
At that point mysql is up enough to restore the mysql
If you rm -rf /var/db/msyql then reinstall it doesnt work right now is
the problem... at least on freebsd. It gives the host.frm error the
poster asked about. Ive only been able to get a new system going by
restoring the mysql database (/var/db/mysql/mysql) from elsewhere.

When I try to create a new slice, it gives it the name 'X' which causes
a problem when I try to create new partitions on that slice:

We got command timeout with the aac driver off and on for about a year
with a 5400s and various freebsd versions. Ive been sending Scott the

All,
Just curious, does FreeBSD (or any of the BSDs) have a STREAMS
implementation? Or does anyone know of a 3rd party implementation?

Well, we're trying to implement a custom kernel-level ssl... Is there any
mechanism in FreeBSD to facilitate this?

When i first attempted to install freebsd via cds(4.8 annd 5.1)
My pc would hang on boot exactly like yours(at the same point). I
attempted to flash the bios on the pc with a newer version. After the
update i had no problems booting 4.8 or 5.1.

Is that the reason why "make installworld" produces errors sometimes
during its execution in 5.1. And afterwards many commands coredump.
Needless to say requiring a complete reinstall.
should I do "make world" in such cases instead of "make buildworld" &
"m
