I have two four socket Opteron 6200 motherboards with populated 16-core
Opteron 6200 series processors. Onw is Tyan (below) and the other
Supermicro.
When booted under 8.4 only two sockets are recognized but four under
9.1. Is this expected behavior?
dmesg from 8.4:
mc# cat /var/run/dmesg.boot

I wanted to know if you would consider updating from 7.4 to 9.1 directly ?
Has anyone tried that with success ?
I plan to use the freebsd-update method.
Thanks for your feedback.

/boot/loader.conf.
