Basically I want to limit the bandwidth for a every IP address not within a
given IP range. To complicate things a bit more, I only want to limit the
bandwidth once a certain amount of data, let's say 10 GiB, has been
sent/received from an IP address outsite the IP range.

Im not sure what has happend, but after my last portupgrade i seem to
have lost internet contivity on the network .. ic an get a IP address
from the router, can ping the router no worries, all other machine
son the network are able to use the internet, just mine seems to have

and bar for some two ports which I had to delete and upgrade, it all

I am having a wierd problem with sudo on a FreeBSD 7 system that is
joined to AD domain through Samba. When I sudo a command, when prompted
for a password, any password including a blank one works. Obviously a
security issue.

I had a similar puzzle to unravel with a CentOS (RHEL equivalent) box.
The clues there were in the log files that showed that gdm was exec-ing
shutdown. I'm not suggesting that is the answer here, but looking at
your logs may help.
