t looks like you are well below the pv_entry_max with shpgperproc at 500.
I figured out what was going on when the messages hit the ../messages log.

this way sendmail and it's conf remain the same. less modification and
changes can be easily found.

Just change where the root alias in /etc/mail/aliases points to.
