tbeans.conf
you may find this file in /usr/local/netbeans/etc then:
#vi netbeans.conf
you may see something like this
javahome= /usr/local/diablo-1.5.0
chang that into:
javahome=/usr/local/jdk1.6.0
then it will work

Correction, if you are at the phase of installing the port, then yes,
unsetting $JAVA_HOME was the only way for me to install the port.
