For web based e-mail, I know of OpenWebMail (Perl), IMP (PHP) and
SquirrelMail (PHP). All three are in /usr/ports/mail . Of the three, I find
IMP hardest to install, and OpenWebMail easiest. Ports will check
dependencies if you need mod_php etc.
As for your Apache, if it is too clobbered up
