First off, I guess you mean Xwindows, not Windows X. Xwindows by itself
is basic - you need a window manager to make it look nice. FreeBSD comes

Actually had the same problem myself last week.
The write option _is_ there but it isn't showing.
Simply pressing 'w' will ask if you want to write. :-)
