And the real confusing thing is that there is no
chkconfig sort of utility that automatically

mysqld is installed to /usr/local/libexec, but you shouldn't run it
directly. Add "mysql_enable=yes" to /etc/rc.conf, and run
"/usr/local/etc/rc.d/mysql-server.sh start".
