is there a way to do active accounting on a process basis? like
collecting live information about threads, memory, cpu usage, syscalls
and other stuff to something like a rrd database so i can check what

i got this when there was some kind of arp conflict on the ip, and from
cables, somehow my isp cisco switch defaults to half duplex all the
time, so when disconnect and connect the cable it returns to half =/

You can run it to see what configuration is possible with the src you
are building, but that's what port does, it's a frontend to it (correct
me with wrong).
If you want to build manually the src you need to run "./configure
--args" like "./configure --with-mysql
