My server lost power earlier today and now it doesnt boot.
Any clues what I can do to recover from the following errors:

Server '' fails to mount /dev/da0s1g (/usr).
Attempts to run 'fsck' fail (can't stat device /dev/da0s1g)

did a use.perl port

can somebody give me a better understanding of what the iostat output is
decribing in the KB/t column. It might be really simple but figured I';d
ask, if in fact further clarification can be given.

does anybody out there have a decent script to backup between hard drive.
also what about a script to back up to back up to a tape drive as well.
if you have pointers to cool programs that does this well?.

timezone issue.
all the documentation I have seen out there appears to be getting the
timezone set correctly. I have it set to PST.
It is 2 hours off from the actual time. can somebody explain how to fix
this? I have NTPD running as well.

my current system drive is having difficulties some files that were
in great shape are now EBADF. This drive is known as ad0 (yup IDE)
So I installed a new drive and have moved all files over to it. The
new drive is known as ad2.
Is my fdisk usage here proper? Is this the proper respons
