the serial port (COM1) but
when I use a USB<->COM (like you) converter the ioctl() function return me
a fail, the error is "Invalid Argument". I need some solution or if you can
recommend me any page or put me in contact with any other person.

I've got installed "acpitools" for FreeBSD-4.9, but
I dont see the command "acpiconf" which, as it is said
in the handbook, is used for turning on/off the stuff

I've got a 40 GBytes hard disk on an old Pentium MMX 266 MHz.
The first time I plugged it into the motherboard my BIOS didn't recognize
the drive, but fortunately there is a jumper that reduces the size of the

Im not able to configure XF86Config to work
with this chipset, I'm currently using "vesa" driver.
Has anyone ever had something better than "vesa" ?
