Resend as my previous emails didn't seem to arrive.
I can't get kdebase to install.
This is a new FreeBSD build from Mini ISO. kde has not been installed on
here before.
I first installed evolution. Now KDE.
I've tried building from ports.
I've deleted the "work/" directory and tried again.
I've d
$ cd /usr/ports
$ make search name=centericq
Makefile:67: *** missing separator. Stop.
I got the Makefile from a friend as well (he has the same version FreeBSD
as I do) but I get the same error.

I set up automount, but that's not working.

I also get this after a reboot now:

umass0: BBB reset faile
Fantastic! Thanks, Scott!
That did the trick!

Ive managed to mount the CF card in my multicard reader:

But not the SD card port on the same reader.
I'm guessing it's /dev/da1s1 but I used MAKEDEV on it and I still can't
mount it.

I've just installed a PCI USB card into my FreeBSD server and it appears
it's not going to work. It also seems (?) to only be a USB 1.0 card
(d'oh!). I've just rebuilt the kernel and added USB support.
Any cloobats?
(Googled, but couldn't find anything relevant).

Try installing gnome2 from the ports collection to make sure you have
everything installed.
Since Gnome2 is a pretty good Window Manager, it should help you out.

Install SAMBA and config it. Not too long.
Get all the computers to map drives to the server (either with logon
scripts or by hand).

Has anyone managed to install this on FreeBSD? I have enormous trouble
trying to get it installed. 2.2 is apparently better than 2.0 but I can't
get either installed.

I have just set up my server at home with Gnome 2.0 and have been scouring
the net for an XF86Config for it.
If you have one for the above card, please email me
TIA

I moved all the cards around to different PCI slots and removed the TV
Card.
This weekend I will test if I can put the TV Card back in without causing
problems

I've just upgraded my FreeBSD server from a Pentium 133 with 32Mb EDO RAM
to a Celeron 433 with 256 Mb SDRAM.
I've rebuilt the kernel and world.
Now, I am constantly getting errors on my console screen and in dmesg
along the lines of:
