this case - authenticating, which is rather silly when you think of it,
because the su-command, just did exactly the same, and could have easily
printed a message that would describe the check on which it returned t

Hello,
I was happy when I saw that the Battlefield 2 Linux Server was released. Now
I finally had the chance to run this server (a freebsd machine ofcourse ;))
I thought. After a smooth install (the most annoying parts was accepting the
agreements) I tried to run the server.
I entered the follo
related because the process was
unkillable. If you find the cause, or even better a solution, to this
problem I'd like to hear about it.
Good Luck,
Freek Nossin

Hello,
I recently installed OO.org via the ports. When I start one of its
applications the program freezes and I can't kill the process, not even as
root with
#kill -9
I found some related messages in the freebsd-current mailling list, but I
could not find a solution.

How can this be? (and how do I fix it...?)
Thanks for your help already so far

? I've always assumed that sysinstall uses the fdisk tool?
And which one is "correct"? Is it wise to try creating a new slice with
fdisk?

Hello,
I have a freebsd installation on a disk with two slices. One of them has the
current freebsd install, the other has a win2k installation. I want to
convert the win2k slice to a freebsd slice (by deleting the old one and add
a new one). I followed the handbook but when I try to delete the wi

Hello,
I use a program called bandwidthd to monitor my internet traffic. I've
configured the program in such a way that I can see how much data traffic is
used by which ip (at what time of day) for several intervals of time
