Just updatet the ports tree to r455280.
No python depending port is building anymore.

Hi,
Currently, with npm-5.4.2_2, I'm getting:

I had more luck with "www/npm-node8" which is a combination of the two
that actually works OK together?

www/node is what gets installed as a dependancy when installing
www/npm.

I agree, but to be honest, that's the least of your problems with
front-end js stuff which changes every 5 minutes ;-)
Hi
bug:
/etc/make.conf has DEFAULT_VERSIONS += python=3.6,
but flavor ignore this setting.
reason:
When ${PYTHON_DEFAULT} == ${PYTHON3_DEFAULT},
skip adding ${PYTHON_DEFAULT} to ${FLAVORS},
so ${PYTHON2_DEFAULT} set to ${FLAVOR}.

pkg version -vL= shows both compat9x-amd64 and compat10x-amd64 as orphaned.
pkg info compat10x-amd64 shows "Origin : misc/compat10x"
ls -d /usr/ports/misc/compat10x says that the port is still there.
I can reinstall it with no errors, but pkg version still shows it as
orphaned.
