Strange keyboard problem with Konsole after upgrading to kdebase-3.5.8_2

In Konsole I no longer have a capital C and no longer works but just prints a ^C as ascii. The even more interesting part is the capital C actually executes At least I can stop processes. I upgraded last night and noticed it this morning after a reboot. This is on my Acer Aspire amd64
