sysutils/apt needs a new maintainer

2014-03-03 Thread Nick Barkas
Hi- sysutils/apt is several versions behind and doesn't build on FreeBSD 10. When I created the port some years ago it required a great many patches to build on FreeBSD, so I suspect that upgrading it and making it build on 10+ might not be easy. I've moved on from the job where I needed to use apt

fix for security/openvpn-auth-ldap (PR: ports/175692)

2014-01-01 Thread Nick Barkas
security/openvpn-auth-ldap has failed to build for some time due to a minor change in the layout of the openvpn sources. I prepared a fix for this but haven’t yet found someone to commit it for me, and also made it so the port can build on 9.x and later, along with a couple of other small fixes.

portlint USE_PHP errors with www/mediawiki ports

2007-09-21 Thread Nick Barkas
Hi I was doing some tweaking to a couple of MediaWiki ports and found that when testing with portlint, I get several "USE_PHP is set after including bsd.port.pre.mk" fatal errors. There was a PR some time back that patched bsd.port.mk and bsd.php.mk to allow USE_PHP after including bsd.por

ports/106790 request for maintainer timeout and commit

2007-01-23 Thread Nick Barkas
Hi- I submitted ports/106790 with a patch a little over a month ago. It was quickly assigned to sysutils/cfengine's maintainer, but there has been no action since then. I tried emailing the maintainer directly last week too, but did not get a response. Would someone be willing to commit my

installing partially translated man pages

2006-11-17 Thread Nick Barkas
I've been working on an update to the archivers/dpkg port (see PR 105560) and am having some trouble with installing translated man pages. The latest version of dpkg includes and installs translations of *some* manual pages to several languages, but not all of the pages are translated. Usin
