I did some searching, and it seems I'm not the first with the question/idea...
In the spirit of OSS I'm considering to create a C# SSH client for the
purpose of acting as an authpf client...
Any comments/suggestions will be appreciated...

nmap scans are harmless. nmap could still use the connect(2) scan
(-sT) and blocking such a scan would prevent valid connection attempts
to be blocked as well.
