Motherboard: Supermicro X8DTN+-F
NIC: Quad Port Card, i.e. em1:

Jack thanks, btw. i can quite reliably reproduce this issue.
So if you or anybody else is interested in some data i might
be able to get it.

Ok, with 8.3R everything seems to be stable, at least i could not
reproduce the NIC resetting itself in
