I've deleted the interface ip address from routing table and only keep the
network address. Nothing is behaving unusual afterwards. I think this
loopback ip address is added for better performance. My question is would I
get in to trouble by deleting these ip addresses from routing table o

I was testing my pthread-netblbast (PR bin/179085) when I found a
problem with netstat counters (tested on 9-stable r252056).
netreceive (src/toots/tools/netrate) display this output:

I used to run a setup with a D-Link DUB-E100 ver. B adapter on pfSense also
using it for a DCHP WAN connection. I had a similar issues. Every time I
unplugged
the DUB-E100 things would work smoothly again.
