this is caused by having IPv4 addresses in wireguard AllowedIPs while the
kernel does not have "options INET".
e.g. this will panic:
AllowedIPs = 0.0.0.0/0, ::/0
while this works fine:

patch in comment #1 panics on boot on a system with tunnels configured:

the patch fixes wg(8) at least when no tunnels are configured:
