Yes and these functionalities make the config very versatile at a minimal cost
to the language they are written in. I would gladly volunteer the time to do it
but I'm heavily stretched right now.
Duplicate the _name functionality and rename to description ? And tie her
down...

I'd put together a deprecation plan, which starts with the kernel
warning that this stuff is being removed, MFC that to stable/10 and
stable/9 so people aren't surprised when they upgrade, and then have
it removed in 11.
