Something that just popped up here in local hacking is ensuring that
all the vnet state is correctly torn down _after_ the system has
finished with things that reference it.
For example, having the vnet state torn out from underneath say,
active TCP timers that haven't yet been cleaned up.

I saw on the website that there was an outdated port of OVS to use libpcap
and FreeBSD. Due to the packet capture card that I am using I need to
compile OVS to use libpcap. Is anyone aware of any more recent efforts to
port more recent versions of OVS to use libpcap?

I tried moving the IP address to the beginning of the ifconfig line but it
still seems to show the same error on boot and refuses to leave INIT mode. This
isn't critical as I'm just playing around with it at the moment.
I'm using virtualbox to test with and a few 10.0-RELEA

work with a /30 network, where only 1 address is available.
Two FreeBSD routers with one of the addresses in the /30 taken by the upstream
ISP.
Looking through the carp manpage, which seems to show an example of
