ramdisk??

(sorry about cross-posting this question. not sure which list is better) I want to to know how to create a ram file system for /var and /tmp so that i can boot from flash memory and mount those two file systems on ramfs. I've looked for howto's online but haven't found anything. any suggestions???

quick question about raid controllers

sorry i am cross posting this question, but i haven't really gotten any response from Freebsd-questions. Here it is: Are there any SCSI raid controllers that have real-time array rebuild capabilities/tools for FreeBSD?? All of the ones I have used so far require reboot for rebuilding/modifying. Al
