I have a interresting problem. When I go to reboot my machine
with shutdown -r or reboot. The system reboots normal
I hate replying to my own messages however,
the problem occurs in both 4.10 and 5.3-RELEASE
The system is a Compaq Presario
with VIA apollo chipset with a pentiumIII 500MHz
with 320MB of RAM

This may be a dumb question, but if you make a cpio tape archive from
data on an SCO system (HTFS filesystem), you can still restore the data
off the tape to another system, like FreeBSD with a UFS filesystem,
right?
And the followup, can FreeBSD run SCO binaries (SCO Unix 5.0.1)? I am
