some time ago I asked if there was any experience with EMC/SAN/FiberChanel under FreeBSD, so for the record: Qlogic ISP 2300 PCI FC-AL Adapter connected to EMC/Clariion works, it's faster than any local disk/raids we've tried, but have no numbers to compare with other OS (Windows/Linux).
