What comes to the PCI IDs, it seems to me they are there. At least in
the source part of the freebsd fix. I could not verify what is included
in the linux binary, but the nVidia site claims that these drivers
support nForce3 and so I have heard they do.

Hi,
I'm working on creating the smallest config I can get to compile
as an "experiment" and to basically move to KLM's overall (once I
get this working properly, I'll send-pr it to see if anyone wants
it in the next release possibly).
I have a question about how I would get some of the options i
m, I don't know :).

traced it down to a compile I did with kernal optimizations (-02),
so I turned that off, rebuilt the kernal, rebooted and all was fine.

Thanks. If i make this "MIN" config file, would anyone want
a copy? Or should I send it to the list and have it looked over
and see about submitting it for commit?

If I get some ideas about it, I can try and put together a MIN kernel

some pointers on what lines need to be in it :).

ok, what would be the minimal kernel that i can compile :),
or is there a document somewhere that says that info? We have
LINT, should we make something called MIN for minimal kernel needed to boot?

Is there a FreeBSD 5.0 Stable or is there only a current

Ok, thanks for clearing this up...I haven't tried it with

i don't know assembler, but it the macros are like C, you
need a \ at the end of the line :). (IIRC)
Lemme know if that fixes it :).
