As you can see,
m.vinum.debug=4
gvinum checkparity raid5.p0
If you're able to, please apply the following patch in order for the
list commands to track your rebuild status with the 'gvinum list -v
' command:
http://people.freebsd.org/~lulf/gvinum_setflag.diff
Any errors during checkparity should come
port different compression schemes? I think this makes
more sense than having different geom modules for each compression scheme.

Also, I'll be on and off the internet during the next few weeks (in Japan
until 25th of march), so I might respond a bit late. I'll come back with
more improvements and new patches as soon as I can.

d take a lot of work and I think many would protest on importing bison
(including me if I were not biased with needing it and all :))
What I ask of you is comments on these alternatives as well as inserting your

en I revert the patch, the partition (ad6s1) shows up in /dev again.
I applied both the ata-chipset patch and ata-dma patch to a RELENG_7 system.

All in all, I just think this approach gives more flexibility than putting it in
a GEOM class that have to be added manually by a user.
Just my thought on this.
Also, I got my test-box up again today, and will be trying your patch as s

The LK_INTERLOCK bothers me a bit, because I'm not 100% sure on how it works.

this be preferable to work on, on freebsd as well? Ofcourse testing on
most architectures.
