led mandrake 8.2 without a single hickup: all hardware
recognized and configured properly in a very neat and smooth
installation. Other distros which I've tried with less success are Red
Hat 7.3, and Debian 3.0
I do like the iBuddy though!

o idea whether any of these are supplied by the tpconfig stuff.
The only feature I found any mention of in that package, is the ability
to disable the 'tap to click'. But maybe that is just a lack of
documentation.

Thanks, you're right: it works like a charm on the test notebook; I had
never thought to try it that
