When a dual processor kernel is used the system panics (crash and
reboot) on io on the cyclades serial ports.
Single processor kernel runs without problems.
Any ideas?

Hello,
There are problems with the Cyclades Cyclom YeP driver. (see PR
i386/30965). I've put printf's in the driver code on several places to
check where the point is of hard locking and its seems to be on line 136
in the /usr/src/sys/pci/cy_pci.c in my situation.

Hi,
Do some of you have experience with this compiler on FreeBSD with
Linux emulation?
Are there known problems/pitfalls?
Thanks,

Maybe you forgot to make the devices cuac00 - cuac0v with # sh
/dev/MAKEDEV cuac0.
And you also want to to al look in /etc/rc.serial at th

STL (compiler and library) implementations.
If someone knows a site where the various STL implementations are compared
with eachother please give a pointer.
For now I will stick to the build-in one.

Hello,
Could anyone make recommandations on the STL to use with C++. I'm using
the build in gcc 2.95.2 on -stable and build in gcc 2.95.3 on -current.
What is preffered the build-in STL (/usr/include/g++) or STLport?
Thanks,
Arjan

I'm using a PCMCIA CARDBUS version of the card in -CURRENT
whitout any problems
sofar. I don't have experience with the PCI or ISA versions of
Realtec. I prefer
the Intel E100B and the 3COM 3C905B PCI boards.

Anyone else receiving about 50 virus alerts messages in 30
minutes?
Seems to me the virus-alerts is the virus now :-)

I had the same problem with a Intel 810 MB. I haven's seen the
messages since I upgraded the bios, disabled the lpt port in the
bios and rebuilded a kernel with NO parallel driver.

I solved it by increasing the DELAY values in a loop and inserted
some (extra) loops and check's, but I don't know whether or not
it might hurt at some point?

for the relevant ports and that seems to be OK. So my question is
what wrong here? Can someone give a hint?
