Can you compare about:support output from the last good and the first bad
version? Does it happen with a fresh profile and in a fresh jail?

FYI, Mozilla bug 1695575 for Firefox:
With x11-fonts/google-fonts (Google fonts) for FreeBSD: showing the
bookmarks toolbar and personal-toolbar-empty, whilst the bar is used for
items other than bookmarks toolbar items, can make the UI too wide for
the window
