I think that I've finally confirmed that problem is caused by/connected to
multimedia/gstreamer1-libav.
If this plugin is present, youtube prefers mp4 videos and firefox core dumps
when rewinding. If this plugin is absent, youtube is forced to display only
vp8/360p videos and rewinding is 100%
Unfortunately, opposite is true here. Upgrade from 9-STABLE to
10-STABLE didn't change anything, but since 28, firefox is unstable
with videos. ports/188133
