strformatrt.cpp compiles with gcc9 without the bcmp(3) reference but the
package fails later due to a clang vs gcc flag conflict that I'll try to track
down later.

I just discovered that the GUI of the current package works fine over an ssh
connection.
Might the seg fault have something to do with interactions with the DRM?
At any rate, you can work around it
