There's a nice project to integrate vim with eclipse at
http://eclim.sourceforge.net.
But they only appear to support linux and windows. Has anybody managed to get
eclim installed and running on freebsd?

This is my first time hearing about eclim so I can't help you there but,
I've been using http://satokar.com/viplugin/ and it works on FreeBSD.
(Much different approach then the eclim plugin.)

Bit embarassing to answer to my own question - however I got a reply from the
author of eclim (Eric Van Dewoestine)
a few hours after posting to freebsd-eclipse; Eric sorted me out. So I now
have eclim working on 6.2 with Ken's eclipse-europa
3.3.0 port and using vim 7.0 as the front end - quit
[EMAIL PROTECTED] /usr/ports/java/eclipse-devel]# make fetch
eclipse is using xulrunner for gecko support, but you can
change that by defining WITH_GECKO to the following values:
xulrunner
firefox
mozilla
seamonkey
===> Vulnerability check disabled, database not found
=> launcher

Have you had a chance to take a look at Ken's 3.3.1 port? I've been
using it for a couple of days now and so far it's certainly as groovy as
the 3.3 that we have in eclipse-devel.
What do you think about kicking eclipse-devel up to 3.3.1? From what I
can see, 3.3.1 is the current rel
