I think that it is because of org.eclipse.visualeditor-1.3.0.200709121813.zip.
By disabling ve, I could run web page editor.
It, visualeditor, is seemingly causing conflicts with wtp and we may need to
wait for official one of visual editor.
Sorry for self-reply..

Mike,
Are you using eclipse-devel without any problems?
I want you to check if wtp (web page editor) works OK at your environment.
I thought that it worked, but now I knew that it does not work. The .log tells
that it has some conflict with other plugins as shown below, but I cannot

Thank you, Jonas for two patches eliminating a use of ant-contrib.
I confirmed that your patch works for both jdk15 and jdk16. And I replaced
my patch to yours in eclipse-europa-331.tgz.
I think that it is now better than 3.3.0 in eclipse-devel.

Attached you will find the modified patches. Using them Eclipse builds
without ant-contrib on my computer, but of course I can not guarantee
anything.
The "trick" I used was moving the "conditional parts" into a new
target with a suitable "if" attribute which gets called by an antcall.

So far your port seems to work very well for me. Thank you very much!
I found a small glitch, however:
When I tried to use the Eclipse Update Manager it gave me the
following error message:

Thank you for your comment.
Please eliminate files/patch-features-jdt-features.xml which I forgot to

Yes, if you upgrade patch files to eliminate the use of ant-contrib, it would
be nice for most of people. Your contribut

for eclipse porting which I do not want to disturb.
Would you please try if it works for you? It is in

One caveat I failed to mention, is that 3.3.1 doesn't build with jdk1.5

any success as far as I know and I've not looked at it.

Greg,
Have you had a chance to take a look at Ken's 3.3.1 port? I've been
using it for a couple of days now and so far it's certainly as groovy as
the 3.3 that we have in eclipse-devel.
What do you think about kicking eclipse-devel up to 3.3
