I haven't installed FreeBSD yet, but when I read the handbook appendix I
found a dead link. It is the Ohio state university Unix introductory
course, under B.2 User's Guides.
I looked up the WayBackMachine and found a snapshot of the link which works
fine.

Just FYI- I've pushed a major change to the doc build. As of
da17aa0103a, note the following:
1.) The move-shared/copy-shared targets no longer exists, shared is
symlinked as appropriate. You may need to nuke documentation/shared
and website/shared in existing clones.
2.) The generate target
