pam_xdg clearly ignores existing XDG_RUNTIME_DIR but I think that's how it
should behave. How does lightdm will use ck-launch-session ? Is that with a
default config ?

Perhaps, either consolekit2 or pam_xdg ignores existing XDG_RUN
