Kernels after the SMPng commit have failed to boot for me. The pc is an
old TYAN S1563D with a pair of p200's. I have tracked it down to entering

Oups, this one is fixed by adding new 'pmtimer' device in my kernel.

stuff up and working on my -CURRENT machine, and everything seems to work
fine except the occasional "pcm0: hwptr went backwards x --> y" when I
play sound and then do anything in X that involves moving a window. Oh,
