When I changed my passwords from DES to MD5, I noticed this little thing with periodic daily output. Backup passwd and group files: passwd diffs: 1,2c1,2 < root:(password):0:0::0:0:Superuser:/root:/bin/csh < toor:(password):0:0::0:0:Bourne-again Superuser:/root:/usr/local/bin
