Folks, the "autoload failed" message is just telling you that you have
ACPI, but there is no ACPI KLD on the floppy.
It has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with your problem. By the
sound of it, you've got a corrupted floppy image.

I find it impossible to install 5.0-CURRENT from floppies, for both a
current desktop and a current laptop machine. With this now occurring
on two disparate machines, I have to believe there is either
