Ok, first the conclusion... I am not able to boot anymore from a 3.0-current system while I can boot quite nicely from the 3.0-RELEASE generic kernel. The system hangs on checking the scsi chain and remains stopped here. The last thing I can see on the screen is the : Waiting 3 seconds for SCS
