I just re-supped the sources and noticed that there were several changes to
the amr source. I have two perc 2 sc controllers and after installing the
rebuilt system and rebooting, the boot bombs.
Right after listing the raid controllers, I get kicked out to the boot
prompt saying that the root de
into never never land and
require a hard boot. Turning the option off made the problem go away. I
noticed there have been some committs to the mac code, so it may be fixed
already.
My hats off to you guys and gals!

I got this a few days ago. Apparently there was some form of problem
with the vm subsystem (I'm speculating here). What I did to fix it was
to re-cvsup the source tree (after killing non-essential processes) and
rebuilding only the kernel. After compiling and installing the new
kernel, I reboot
I can very reliable reproduce a process getting stuck in this state. The
box it is running on is a k6-2 400 with 128MB of ram and 500MB of swap.
When compiling mysql322-server with the compiler option of '-O2' or
'-O3', the build gets up to sql_yacc.cc. It churns on this file and
goes into the o
ayed on the list after the post.
I am running 4.0 current, built from last weekend (2/7/99). I have
tried this on several different pc's with different motherboards with
the same results.
Thank you,
