In general 'X11' is really not that stable in -current (and has been
for a while) I run an older version of KDE (2.1 I think) some programs
using newer X11 features seem to crash at somewhat random timesI am

The 'process locked' error messages are the same thing I am seeing in
todays build of -Current on my desktop Dell 410 workstation. I don't
think they have anything to do with your laptop configuration

I was getting the same "Signal 12" error about a week ago.. What I had
to end up doing was after a 'buildworld', then rebuilding the kernel
installing it and then rebooting. Then after this doing an
'installworld, then things seemed to be alright from then on :-)
I have had the same problem for the last several days as well, did a
re-cvsup and re-compile of buidlworldall the with same effect of
core dumping og signal 12...
