No, the default should work out of the box.
What does "which virtual_oss_cmd" output?
Maybe /usr/local/bin is not in your PATH?

I should have been more specific ..
I'm observing that "/usr/src/release/release.sh -c release-i386.conf"
fails when targeting a i386 build on an amd64 host :-(
