With my poudriere repository _temporarily_ disabled, the script does run to
completion.

Presumably there are many other places in libc that need to be hooked. For
instance, any use of getgrent(3) will trigger allocation of a global buffer,
no?

Rebooting will take time. After printing uptime you've to wait for up to an
hour to see the system reboot. And sometimes it just does not reboot after all.
