Since the standard names for C and C++ are different, you cannot really use the
CSTD variable. I would suggest using CXXSTD, which is consistent with all the
other "CXX" prefixes.

It took some time as I had to perform an upgrade on a similar i386 appliance
not running production.
I can verify that the problem seems to be fixed on 10.1-RC1 i386 - here cron
again runs as it should.
