Follow-up: Something I was thinking about as I was falling asleep last night: there's a good possibility the problem is actually reversed. That is to say, ICANON/ECHO is being adjusted when in "top -b" mode it shouldn't be. If this is the case, some simple if()s should do the trick. -- | Jerem
