First, a descriptive subject header is much appreciated.
As for your IDE troubles, I don't know how many people actually use that old
FreeVision-based IDE... many of us use either Lazarus or some other more modern
editor. Is there some reason you can't or don't want to try Lazarus?

I have recently installed version 2.2.4, and now I have a problem with the IDE.
(Operating system Windows XP)
If I launch fp directly, IDE opens in a window with 80x80 display, and I can
open a previously created source file within this window, and it all works fine.
BUT if I click on the source f
I apparently corrupted a configuration file somewhere. I quick reinstall

I am running FP 2.2.0 with V1.0.10 of the IDE on Windows XP Pro. All was
working fine and then rather abruptly the IDE stopped displaying errors from
the compiler. All the IDE reports now is "Compile failed", which is not very
informative. Any suggestions on how to get things back to normal, i.e.,

Okay, I will.
I wrote a piece of code to generate a sample input datafile for my program.
When I ran my program on that datafile, there was no error!
The original datafile comes from g77/Cygwin and both the real

Hi!
I wrote an fpc-program, running command-line based under linux and windows. Now I was
asked,
to create a windows "surface". Since I can't afford to buy delphi for that: is there
an ide, I can do
that with? "Easily"? Necessarily for win32, ideally for win and Linux.
Thanks for hints!
